TOYOTA FJ43 1977

This 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 was purchased in Buenaventura, Colombia in January 1977 and was reportedly used by the first owner for over 30 years on his estate in the mountains of Bucaramanga, Colombia. It passed through one additional owner before it was acquired by the seller in late 2016. Powered by a 4.2L inline-six and manual transmission, the engine and transmission were rebuilt in June of 2017 and the truck received various cosmetic updates before being imported to the United States in August. Finished in white with a tan soft top, this example now shows just 53k kilometers (~32k miles) on the odometer and is offered with a clean Florida title in the name of the seller’s company.

Numerous cosmetic updates were performed while in Colombia, including new emblems, new hood latches, and new tires on the silver steel wheels. The beige soft top is a new Toyota unit, and photos of the various cosmetic updates can be seen in the gallery.

The white paint presents well with minor rock chips and scratches present from use. A larger chip can be seen on the front grille, and light corrosion around the fasteners of the front and rear bumper is visible.

The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with matching black carpet, and this truck is fitted with dual rear jump seats. A new radio has been fitted to the painted dash, and new speakers are present throughout the cabin.

Power comes from a 4.2L 2F inline-six that was rebuilt in June of 2017, including a cleaned and sandblasted manifold, rebuilt head, refurbished radiator, new water pump, new fuel pump, and new exhaust. The manual transmission and transfer case were rebuilt at the same time, and new axles and brakes were installed.
